1st Prototype | Concept Seminar

For our prototype we decided to put the emphasis a part of feedback often overlooked. The preparation on a feedback. And the process of externalising and taking a step back to prepare for a feedback. Seeing and Speaking out loud what is on paper and what works. Where are the difficulties and the areas that don’t work as intended. This step alone can sometimes refuel a process.

Also the fact, that feedback has to be appointed and therefore can have bad timing in the working process, leads us to decision to create a machine that can give kind of a fitting feedback. The person wanting to habe a feedback has to approach the machine, scan his work and answer some question for the machine to find out topic an status of the work. And is able to select a fitting question and propose for a reiteration at some point.

We think through the clear setting and rules of engagement and the need to prepare and take a step back from the work can help gain a new perspective.

Through the prototype we want also to ask the question the rules and meaning of feedback and its setting.

We documented the interaction and the use of our prototype:

3rd Prototype | Tuesday Evening Bash

Having this framework of a weekly meeting that is designed for presenting our current projects in a group that spans the different years and get inputs from them, we decided to use this for a short prototype testing. Having already been part of this type of meeting in the past and feeling like it regularly failed to deliver, we wanted to create a tool to make the navigation and talking more easy.
